About Jatinangor

Jatinangor is located on the outskirts of Bandung city, filled mostly with students. Dubbed as an education area, Universitas Padjadjaran Jatinangor was placed far from downtown Bandung so that students can focus on their college life. The city is filled with student-friendly entertainment, cafes, and bookstores. Hanging out in those places with friends and family can be done at any time of the day since the city is always living and thriving.

Transportation

You can take an Angkot with a price ranging from Rp2,000 to Rp5,000 to go anywhere in the city. The brown Angkot runs from the Cileunyi toll gate to Sumedang. You can find this type of Angkot near Gerbang Lama Unpad. There is also the green-with-orange-stripe Angkot that takes you from Gerbang Lama Unpad to Jalan Sayang.

You can also take a bus to Bandung called Damri. The university also provides separate transportations called Damri Unpad for its students who want to go to Bandung. Universitas Padjadjaran students, lecturers, and staff can ride this bus for free. Their operational hours are every 6.00 a.m and 5.00 p.m.

Places to Eat

There are selections such as Pujasera Ciseke and Kantin Jatinangor, which have a price range from Rp10,000 to Rp20,000. They sell different kinds of food, from seafood to beef, soup, and many more. There is also a late-night option if you get hungry in the middle of the night such as Warkop Jalan Sayang. The place is open for 24 hours, be sure to give it a try!

Entertainment

You can come to Jatinangor Town Square (Jatos) if you want to find entertainment. There are many places to hang out on the top floor such as the food court and the restaurants provided by the mall. With prices starting from Rp35,000, Jatos Cinema XXI becomes one of the cheaper options for watching a movie. There is also a game center on the bottom floor if you are not a movie person. The mall also provides clothing stores and other necessities at low prices.

Books

Filled with students, the city needs to provide necessities such as books, pens, and other stationery. AA Bookstore, located beside Jatos, will provide you with the stationers you need at friendly prices. Not to mention a hidden gem like the Batu Api Library a few meters away from Jatos that will fascinate you with its diverse collection. Unpad also provides its own library such as Kandaga and Faculty Libraries within the university.
